Stripes and Shorts

I can't seem to stop with the nautical striped shirts. It's becoming an everyday uniform. Today I paired one with shorts because it was hot. Shorts and I have never been close, but these denim ones from the Gap are so comfortable and flattering. I might even wear them out of the house!

The other day while at Target, I picked up the yellow dress from Jean-Paul Gaultier on clearance and my favorite hat from Eugenia Kim's new collection. It was a good day!

Vintage Children's Books

I am a collector of many things and I love vintage children's books. I am lucky to have saved many books from my childhood and my mother has a few from when she was young. My kids are drawn to the illustrations and sweet stories.


"Kiki Dances" by Charlotte Steiner is one of my mother's childhood books from 1949.

This is a first edition of "A Hole Is To Dig" by Maurice Sendak. My kids love this book. The illustrations are expressive and funny and the text is simple and appealing to children.

Old Is New Again

I found this old frame up in my attic this morning. I got it when I worked at Betsey Johnson years ago. I stuck a picture in it from an old pin-up calendar and now it looks great in my kitchen!

On the Waterfront

Spent a beautiful Easter weekend by the waters of the Chesapeake. So glad to have warm weather again.
