End of Summer Clams

We bid farewell to summer with a dinner of clams in white wine and butter and fried green tomatoes. Delicious!

Favorite Vintage Dress

I have a favorite of my vintage dresses and of course it is black. This dress once belonged to my best friend about 18 years ago. This dress is perfect. It has a pencil skirt and tank straps, zips up the back and has a small bow on the bodice. The dress is probably from the sixties, but it is hard to tell. The fabric is old and the seams are now weak. I hope it lasts for a few more years.

Bernice Bobs Her Hair

A new haircut that I am still getting used to. Thankfully, I can still put it up in a twist with a scarf for really hot days like the ones we have had lately.

Goodwill Hunting

I have been searching for one of these round American Tourister cases for such a long time. I really wanted red, but would have settled for another color. While dropping off some items to Goodwill, I saw this perfect case in a pile on the sidewalk! Definitely my best Goodwill find ever. And it only cost me 4 bucks!

Rocky Mountain High

Back from a trip to Colorado with the family. Beautiful skies, big red rocks, clean air and crazy clouds.

New Very Old Pictures

I love messing around with effects on my pictures. I usually use the Picnik site, but these really cool looking effects were made using a Japanese site that makes the pictures look about 150 years old.

Mary Poppins

I took my daughter to see Mary Poppins last night and we had a great time. The musical has amazing sets and costumes. I had to get the doll as a souvenir, she has such great details with the umbrella and carpet bag. I wore my new/old vintage polka dot skirt that I got on Etsy for $8.
